Carmarthenshire Growers' Equipment Library - Membership Agreement
Membership of the Carmarthenshire Growers' Equipment Library is open to commercial growers in/near the county who are committed to increasing production of fruit and vegetables for local consumption.

A range of equipment, tools and machinery is available for hire by Members. Members are required to accept the declaration below before any library items can be hired.
In addition, Members will need to accept a Hire Agreement before checking out items to confirm that they will use, store and transport the item as intended. Some items require specific training and/or familiarisation. Members are responsible for providing their own PPE.
By initialling this Agreement, you are accepting the terms of engagement with the library. Please note that membership of the library is on a personal basis (ie for you as an individual, rather than for all individuals related to your organisation).
Social Farms & Gardens is the owner of the equipment held in the library and is responsible for its maintenance.
When you are hiring an item, you are responsible for insuring it against theft or fire and injury caused by use (unless the item was supplied faulty). Your existing contents insurance, public liability and employers' liability policies should cover for this, but you may wish to check before making your first hire.
Declaration
I produce fruit and vegetables in Carmarthenshire / to feed people living in Carmarthenshire.
I fully support and am committed to upholding the values of Carmarthenshire Growers' Equipment Library.
I understand that the equipment is available for hire and is intended to be shared among growers in the area. I therefore agree to reserve items when I know I will be able to use them and to notify the library if I no longer require a hire.
I agree to pay deposits in a timely manner.
I will return items, clean and in good working order, on time so they can be maintained and used by others.
I will use items for their intended purpose. Where I have uncertainty about the most appropriate tool, or a tool's capacity, I will ask for advice.
I understand that I am responsible for the use, storage and care of all items that I hire. I will report any damage as soon as it is known.
